Observation of Optical Gyromagnetic Properties in Magneto–Optical Metamaterials (FM1B.1)
Presenter: Lei Bi, Univ of Electronic Sci & Tech of China

We report the observation of gyromagnetic and bi-gyrotropic properties in magneto-optical metamaterials. Anomalous s-polarized transverse magneto-optical Kerr effect is observed in magneto-optical Mie resonators and split ring resonators, featuring giant gyrotropic permeability tensors at the near infrared.

Electrically Tunable Beam Manipulation Based on Intersubband Polaritonic Metasurfaces (FM1B.2)
Presenter: Hyeongju Chung, UNIST

We report electrically tunable beam manipulations using intersubband polaritonic metasurfaces. Experimentally, 45° of reflection phase tuning, 15% of beam diffraction tuning, and 11% of beam steering were achieved near wavelength of 6.55 μm.

Global Phase Correction Improves Metalens Efficiency (FM1B.3)
Presenter: Matthew Brand, Mitsubishi Electric Research Labs

We introduce a fast joint optimization of unit cells across the whole metasurface, exploiting interactions between nearby cells to produce a desired near-field profile and improving whole-lens focusing efficiency.

‘All’ Bright Toroidal Metasurface (FM1B.4)
Presenter: Soumyajyoti Mallick, Mahindra University

We demonstrate bright-bright coupling mediated by mode-hybridization in multi split-ring resonator based metasurface leading to antiparallel toroidal moments in the metasurface cavity.

Integrated Metasurfaces for Free-Space Wavefront Generation With Amplitude, Phase and Polarization Control (FM1B.5)
Presenter: Heqing Huang, Columbia University

We demonstrate integrated metasurfaces that are excited by a slab waveguide mode and can produce free-space optical radiation with designer amplitude, phase and polarization distributions.

Multiresponsive Dielectric Metasurfaces With Light- and Temperature-Responsive Copolymers (FM1B.6)
Presenter: Chengjun Zou, Friedrich Schiller University Jena

We experimentally demonstrate multiresponsive tuning of high-quality-factor dielectric metasurfaces integrated with light- and temperature-responsive copolymers at near-infrared wavelengths. Our work explores multidimensional active control of metasurface-based nanophotonic systems for novel light field manipulations.

Bound States in the Continuum in Plasmonic Metasurfaces (FM1B.7)
Presenter: yao liang, City University of Hong Kong

Being inspired by the structure of butterfly wings, we design and demonstrate experimentally novel types of plasmonic metasurfaces supporting high-Q collective lattice resonances (Q~89) in the mid-IR region revealed by focused light beams with large apertures.

Filter-Free Color Image Sensors With a Full-Color-Sorting Metalens Array (FM1B.8)
Presenter: Masashi Miyata, NTT Device Technology Laboratories

We present a filter-free color image sensor utilizing a full-color-sorting metalens array. Our demonstration shows the sensor’s ability to create high-quality color images while enhancing pixel-signal levels compared with those of conventional image sensors.
